Insurance and credentials
What you get when you hire Apex
Insurance
Apex Locating carries general liability insurance. Need proof of insurance (a COI) naming you or your client? Email reggie@apexlocating.com with the holder's name and address, and you get it within 1 business day. A W-9 is available the same way.
Equipment
Electromagnetic line locators for metal lines and tracer wire, ground-penetrating radar (GPR) for plastic, concrete and unknowns, and a sewer camera with a sonde for sewer and septic lines.
Training
OSHA safety, HAZWOPER, MSHA, and manufacturer training on the locators and radar we run, plus years running locates across several states as a senior project manager at a national private locating company.
What a locate delivers
Paint and flags on site in the APWA color code, and photos of the marks. The Site Package adds a marked-up map of what was found. Mapping jobs get a KMZ file that opens in Google Earth. Marks show the approximate horizontal location of each line; we do not give depths.
For engineers
Apex is a private utility locator, not an engineering firm. We do not assign ASCE 38 quality levels; the engineer of record assigns the quality levels and seals the work.
Response time
Requests get a written quote within 1 business day, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. Residential locates can be priced and booked online any time at Price in a minute.
Contractor portals
Apex is not yet registered with ISNetworld or Avetta. If your project needs it, say so in your request and we can register.
