Sixteen Water Valves Located in the Denver Tech Center

The job. A commercial client in the Denver Tech Center needed sixteen water valves on a private water system located and marked in July 2026. When the valves on a property are buried under decades of landscaping and paving and nobody kept a map, the operator cannot isolate a section when something leaks, and every repair starts with a search.

What we did. Electromagnetic locating along the water lines to follow the runs between valves, ground-penetrating radar where the lines would not carry a signal, and a mark in APWA color code at each valve and along the line, at the approximate horizontal location, with no depth. Sixteen valves, one visit.

Why it matters to a property owner. A day of locating turns a lost system into paint on the ground, and if you want it, a GPS record of every mark as KMZ or shapefile that the next repair crew, or the next property manager, can open on a phone. The marks fade; the record does not.
