Underground Tank Locating (UST)
Old fuel oil and storage tanks found with ground-penetrating radar and electromagnetic tracing, fill and vent lines traced, and the outline marked on the ground. For property sales, environmental assessments and site work.
Why clients call us
Find the tank before the excavator does
Radar and tracing together
Ground-penetrating radar finds the tank body; electromagnetic tracing follows fill pipes, vent lines and supply lines back to it.
Outline on the ground
The tank outline and its lines are marked on the surface and photographed, with GPS positions as a KMZ file when you need a record.
For assessments and sales
Environmental firms and buyers use the marks and record in their assessment or disclosure file.
Honest about limits
Tanks under slabs, in wet clay or beside other buried metal can be hard to resolve. Anything we could not confirm goes in writing.
Think there's an old tank?
Send the address and what you've seen: a fill pipe, a vent or old records. Firm number before anything is booked.
FAQs
Tank locating: common questions
Do you remove tanks?
No. We find and mark them. Removal and soil testing are done by environmental and excavation contractors.
Can you tell if a tank is empty or leaking?
No. We locate and mark the tank and its lines. Contents and condition are checked by an environmental contractor.
